The Sharp Edge Awards 2007 Finalist Innovation & Creativity

U Star Novels Named HSBC National Shortlist 2009

U Star Novels have been named in the National Shortlist in the HSBC Start Up Stars for 2009. Sixty small businesses from all over the UK have made it to the semi-final stage of the 2009 Start-Up Stars Awards. Twenty-five of the 60 have now been selected for the national shortlist by the judges. The national finalists will be announced during the week beginning 5 October.

Start Up Awards 2006 Winner Business Plan of the Year

U Star Novels, the UK’s first adventure romance novel with a twist… you are the star, was announced as a winner of the ‘Business Plan of the Year’ category at the Startups Awards ceremony and luncheon on Friday 20 October, 2006.

The Startups Awards, organised by Crimson Business’ Startups.co.uk, comprised of 15 categories, each showcasing the best new businesses in the UK.

The judges were impressed with U Star Novel’s unique concept and potential, placing the business among 52 finalists selected from over 450 entries.

The judges said:
“Katie Olver is arguably the bravest of this year’s winners. Her business plan is unconventional, and wouldn’t make a model business plan for others to copy.
